Refund policy

Last updated: 2 September 2026

Two separate things are covered here. The first is changing your mind, which is our policy and which we set ourselves. The second is something arriving faulty or not as described, which is your right under Australian law and which we cannot limit. We have kept them apart so you can find the one you need.

If you would rather just ask, email info@littlefounders.com.au. We would rather sort it out in one message than have you read a policy.

If something is faulty, damaged or not as described

You have rights under the Australian Consumer Law that come with everything we sell. They apply to every product in the range, including anything bought on sale, and nothing on this page reduces them.

If the problem is major, meaning the product is significantly different from what was described, is unsafe, or cannot be fixed easily, you choose. A refund or a replacement, whichever you prefer.

If the problem is minor, such as a bent corner or a printing fault on a few pages, we will repair, replace or refund it. We will tell you which and why, and we will not drag it out.

We pay the postage. If something is wrong with what we sent, you are not out of pocket to fix it.

We do not need the product back to believe you. For anything damaged in transit or misprinted, send a photo to info@littlefounders.com.au and we will act on that. Posting a damaged workbook back to us costs money and helps nobody.

Proof of purchase can be anything reasonable. An order confirmation email, a bank statement line, or the name the order was placed under. You do not need a paper receipt.

There is no time limit written on this section, because the law does not set one. Consumer guarantees last as long as is reasonable for the product, judged on what it is and what it cost.

If you change your mind

You have 30 days from delivery. This is our policy rather than a legal requirement, and we offer it because a product for a nine-year-old is bought on a guess about a nine-year-old.

To be returned for change of mind, an item needs to be unused and in a condition we could sell again:

  • Workbooks, planners, journals and the Ideas Log. Unwritten in. A page filled out is a book we cannot sell to another family, and we would rather say that plainly than argue about it later. Reading through it, showing it to your child and deciding it is not right is fine. Working through it is not.

  • The Future Founder Kids Tee. Unworn and unwashed, with tags attached.

  • Bright Vibes Wall Frames. Unopened and undamaged.

  • The Kids Business Bundle and The Founder's Kit. Returned complete. We cannot take back part of a set, because the remainder is not something we can sell.

Return postage is yours to cover on a change-of-mind return, and we recommend a tracked service, because until it reaches us it is your parcel.

We refund to the original payment method once the return arrives and has been checked. Your bank may take a few days more.

Original postage is not refunded where it was charged.

What we will not do is quibble. If your child opened a workbook, wrote their name on the first page and lost interest, tell us. We will very likely sort something out. That is a decision we make case by case rather than a policy, so please do not treat it as one.

Gifts

Plenty of our orders are birthday and Christmas presents, and the person who chose it is often not the person who opens it.

If you received a Little Founders product as a gift, email info@littlefounders.com.au with the buyer's name or the order number and we will handle the return with you rather than sending you back to whoever bought it.

Orders that arrive incomplete or incorrect

Email info@littlefounders.com.au with your order number and a photo of what arrived. We will send the missing or correct item at our cost. You do not need to return the wrong one unless we ask.

Cancelling before it ships

Email us as soon as you can. Orders are dispatched the next business day, so there is a window, and if the order has not gone to fulfilment we will cancel it and refund in full. Once it is with the carrier it becomes a return.

How to start a return

  1. Email info@littlefounders.com.au with your order number and what you would like to happen.

  2. We will reply with a return address and, where the return is on us, a prepaid label.

  3. Post it back. Keep the tracking number.

  4. We refund or replace once it arrives.

There is no form to fill in and no return authorisation number to quote.

If we cannot agree

Contact us first. Most of these are a misunderstanding. If we have not resolved it, you can contact the consumer affairs or fair trading body in your state or territory, or the ACCC at accc.gov.au.
